Shortly after leaving Munich we have beautiful views of the Alps in front of us. They look daunting from inside a little mini.

We cross the Alps through Austria. To use the motorways we have to attach a 9 euro vignette to the windscreen to avoid a fine from the police waiting for foreign cars to cross the boarder. Particularly British ones who had chosen to leave the European Union. On top of this we paid 11 euros to queue to use the Brenen Pass.
It is Sunday, and although there are very few lorries on the road, the traffic is heavy, and the roadworks frequent, making it slow going in places.
I was asked to take this picture, but don’t know why. I will leave my compatriot to explain.

My compatriot was so worried about getting fuel in the services today she reversed her error of yesterday. We drove straight to get fuel and then found we could not get back to the toilets and food.
We drove hungry, thirst, and cross-legged with a full tank of petrol back onto the motorway to the next services to use the toilet and get a late lunch. The rest of the journey to Hotel Molino Rosso in Imola, after 1263 miles from home, where our Italian Job started was interesting, but we have had enough of motorways for a while.
It is great to empty the car of luggage and meet up with the other jobbers for a meal in the hotel. The real event starts at 8am in the morning so hopefullythe blog will be more interesting for any readers.
