Along with most of the other jobbers we have a five thirty start and a six thirty breakfast. We have a drive of 350 Miles to get to the eurotunnel by three pm or earlier for check-in.
We have been sympathetically driving our little car at no more than 3,000 rpm, which is around 65 mph. After a discussion last night, when I was assured by others with classic minis that they were managing 3.5k to 4k rpm successfully, we decided to do the same.
So with a 7am start in the dark and rain, we travelled at 70 to 75 mph, with just 2 quick stops for fuel, toilet stops, and to top up the oil, we actually made the 13:40 train, taking 6 hours.

We boarded the train with several other jobbers in modern minis and having picked up two baguettes and two drinks we ate these on the train. Then we left the train in England for another non-stop drive home to Worcestershire, and we were home by 6 pm.
We have driven 3120 miles, seen some wonderful places, met wonderful people, and raised money for a good cause while completing an incredible challenge.
Thank you to everyone who supported us.
