QM2 Cruise Day 18

An alarm is required today as we have to attend South African immigration before breakfast at 8am. This will speed things up for us tomorrow before we go on a port visit trip, and also when we leave the ship at Cape Town.

A lot of people are leaving the ship on trips today, but we decide to have a rest day, especially as the sun is out. We spend a good hour watching the port action either around our cruise ship or on the various container ships.

After a mile walk with multiple circuits around deck 7, we went to the Trivia quiz, our first attempt at this hotley contested competition. We scored 8 out of 20, so we either need more practice or more team members.

It is pleasant weather, so we stay on deck and read our books today, as demonstrated by Miss Money Penny, who is obviously reading through her belly button.

We are increasingly aware that we are approaching the end of the cruise. Our travel agent left a card at our cabin to invite us to meet her to share information about transferring off the ship into Cape Town in four days time. While waiting our turn we were entertained by the inane comments from two other guests who were objecting to anything and everything including the weather, length of cruise, and the TV channels showing too much of Trump.

We went back to sitting on deck after all this entertainment.

This evening, we reverted back to the more cooff Chart room for pre dinner cocktails and met some very interesting people both over drinks and at dinner.

We take in the late night show again before bed. This is definitely getting boring!
