Today started with moving to a corner of the hotel car park to getting under the van and top up the gearbox oil. I have no idea where it is going but no dripping. Checked the axle for good measure. I now smell of cats piss which only those who have used Hypoid gear oil will understand.
After all the checks and adjustments were made we cross today’s start line at our appointed time to navigate to a castle on a large lake.
The Castle was spectacular as we approached but my compatriot was not quick enough to capture it. We were taken on a tour of the castle before adjourning to a lake side restaurant for lunch. We will definitely come back heavier from this trip.
The journey back to Rome went around the lake and along the coast although we could not see the sea.
In the evening after dinner we had the charity auction which raised £15,000 and we run out of time so there is a silent auction tomorrow for the remaining items.
