An early start to get to the Monza race circuit by 11:30. Unfortunately the way the cars have been parked no one can get out easily. We decide to wait until around 6:30 and accept we are going to be late. It is still a struggle to manoeuvre the van out through the gaps to get underway at 6:45.
The scenery is great on route and at one re fuelling we stopped in a cafe for breakfast. We arrived 30 mins late and straight into the maneuvering against the clock challenge.
We were then led onto the Monza circuit. First the old disused banked one and then the current circuit. It was all a bit lost on the van but still an exciting experience.
Then back on the road to Turin. This is where it got interesting. While driving and eating a sweet my temporary bridge fell out. My compatriot ironically put it in a sweet wrapper. We then hit Turin in the rush hour. The van decided to play up in a traffic jam and amongst hooting Italians I effected a repair. After some wrong turns and cutting the locals up we made the hotel.
We were booked in the evening to see The Italian Job film in Italian with English subtitles. It was a one off performance in a huge cinema. I did wake up for the final scene. My compatriot did not dare drop asleep in case I started snoring.
