An exciting start to the day with two police vehicles outside reception and a ruckus on the first floor. This then ended outside the dinning room while we were trying to have breakfast with the police holding two men on the floor. It was rumoured to be to do with some prostitues not being paid. What with this and last night I think this hotel is now firmly on our black list.

The journey to Reims was 280 miles of motorway in the rain. The only excitement was when my nemesis returned and the engine stalled while going through the lorry toll booth. I managed to re start and limp out and parked next to the toilets which had a handy hand wash.

We arrived at the hotel and after leaving the van to cool down I checked and topped up the oils ready for an early start in the morning.

After a pleasant dinner and drink it was off to bed.
