Another sunny start for Wolds Village to Beverly.
Our accomodation, called Wolds Village was a lovely, quirky place with lots of art work and antiques located in the rooms and dotted around grounds. The food was delicious and it was a shame that we couldn’t stay longer.
Having consulted the written notes some of the extra 10 miles cycled yesterday will be deducted from today. This may be fortuitous because the weather app indicates that showers are due from midday.
The app let us down. We had only just left our accommodation when it started raining. It became a heavy shower which led to us sheltering under a large holly bush. As the rain eased up we set off with just 16 miles to do.
It was very windy with the occasional sunny spell which meant we dried out on the move. The ride went through picturesque villages and into Beverly on an interesting route through an old city gate.
On arriving back at the car the B&B owner was as good as her word and had feed the car park meter each day we were away. We collected our bags and car key, packed everything, including bikes, and drove home. The end of another trip and we can recommend Skidaddle who put it all together for us.
