Today we are travelling to York on the Yorkshire Job, raising money for Buttle UK, a charity supporting children in crisis. This event replaces the Italian Job, because organising a European tour would have been too difficult.

We are in Sue’s little classic mini, with her driving and Ed navigating, in the restored 1993 special edition Italian Job classic Mini. The first trip was a slow death defying trip to Goodwood, Since then Sue has been on a day’s advanced mini driving course and the ride to York was much more comfortable.

On arrival at the Hotel in York it was great to meet up with other Italian Jobbers from previous events. In the evening we went out to visit some friends in York, that we have not seen for 20 years. It was a nice evening but on the way back to the hotel it was clear that the advanced driving course did not extend to driving in the dark.
