We are off to Scarborough Fair today. Part of the route, to our first destination of the day, is on roads we cycled on, across the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Tour, earlier this year.
On arriving at the Scarborough Fair Transport Museum, which is well worth a visit, the special stage challenge was a cryptic quiz with all the answers to be found around the museum.

On arriving at this location, the red hats (Organising Team) were helping to park each minig in the car park. After the third attempt to get the mini vaguely in the designated parking box my compatriot was asked if it was true that she had just pasted her test, which apparently was the rumour. I am thinking of getting some L or P plates for future trips.
After a very intersting hour or so in the museum it was time to set off to Sneaton Castle, near Scarborough, following the tulip route book. We were scheduled to have lunch at the castle followed by another special stage challenge. The lunch was excellent, served on what looked like a wooden tiered cake stand with a shovel handle.

The special stage at Sneaton Castle was a clay pigeon shoot. 6 cartridges each with penalty points for missed clays.

As this event took longer than expected we gave the 50 mile Dalby Forest stage a miss, and headed back to the hotel for the evening prize-giving dinner.
