Day 5 Final day The Yorkshire Job.

Up early for a drive to the Piece Hall Halifax which we have to arrive at by 09:00. We decide to travel following the satnav without motorways. While travelling along a major dual carriageway without signs, notice, or a diversion, we find it closed. Not sure where we are but while deciding what to do next we notice a couple of cars coming and going down a small lane. We follow them and after a while ask satnav to find an alternative route to Halifax. It takes us through housing and commerial estates, and then just as we think it is as lost as we are, it turns us out on to a motorway junction. We are saved! and continue to Halifax.

We are temporarily parked outside the magnificent door into Piece Hall. At 09:00 the doors open and we are taken in one at a time to park up to a plan obviously drawn and managed by someone who has never done this before. The first challenge was the two minis in the queue that died and had to be pushed in up hill.

Once parked up to the officials satisfaction it is off for breakfast followed by shopping. At 11:00 precisely we are told we have to leave and we follow satnav towards home. After an unscheduled stop at the services for my driver to have a nap we arrive home. She must love the mini as it is washed before being put to bed.

Another Job finished and we look forward to Italy next May.
